How to grow the best trees.

Bayou Garden Growers starts with only the highest quality liners grown from select nurseries who use only the best seeds.

Very early on, Bayou Garden Growers adopted the use of grow bags, specifically High Caliper tree bags developed in cooperation with the University of Oklahoma. These fabric bags create stronger root system due to air pruning. During harvest, the roots stay intact, and they are easy for the customer to transport. Once the landscaper removes the bag, the dense root system is ready to grow.

We field grow our trees because they adapt faster to the customer’s new landscape. Once they are established, they are more self-sufficient with a stronger root system.

Finally, we believe in close attention to detail throughout the growing process. Circumstances on a farm aren’t always perfect, so making adjustments throughout the growing cycle is critical to growing the best trees.
